Hey, Wifey! 💍✨
Can I share a truth I wish someone had told me before I stepped into purpose?
I was building something for others while my marriage was quietly unraveling. In 2010, I felt frustrated, disconnected, and tired of pretending. I wasn’t trying to start a movement or build a brand — I was simply a wife searching for community, a safe space to heal and remember I wasn’t alone.
But instead of leading me to something, God called me to create something. A space where women could gather, be seen, celebrated, and empowered to step into who they truly are — even if life behind closed doors was messy and complicated.
It didn’t make sense at the time. How do you step into purpose when your home feels shaky? How do you build for others when you’re still trying to hold yourself together? I did it through obedience, even when it felt risky and uncomfortable.
Jay supported me, but honestly — his support came with conditions. He didn’t always understand why I poured so much heart and energy into something that didn’t pay the bills. His fears were real: Who would hold it all together at home? Would he still matter to me? Would he lose me to something that no longer included him?
Sis, your husband’s fears are real, but they don’t get to cancel your obedience. You can protect your purpose and your partnership. Here’s how:
✨ Pray first — ask God for strategy, not just a dream.
You need a clear, God-led strategy so your family doesn’t become collateral damage to a calling that was never meant to create chaos.
✨ Have the honest conversation.
Include him in the process. Be transparent. Share what you believe you’re called to do. Walk through the fears together so he can never say, “You didn’t tell me.”
✨ Don’t quit — build while covering your covenant.
If he doesn’t fully support you right away, don’t fold. Be strategic. Prioritize your marriage while honoring what God placed in you. Trust — God knows how to move a husband’s heart (“The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord; He directs it like a watercourse wherever He pleases.” -Proverbs 21:1).
Remember, it is not the will of God to bless you and leave your husband behind.
If you’re craving that reset NOW (not years from now), I’ve got you covered.
